Sin Silver and the Avenue are a 3 piece band with Sin Silver on piano and vocals, Justin Vanegas on bass and Michael Carrera on drums.

Sin came to California from Ireland 5 years ago where she started playing at East Bay piano bars. At such venues, she played, and indeed, still plays popular covers, Irish music and, of course, her originals.

Sin Silver and the Avenue is her effort to bring those originals to the main stream.

The music is essentially piano driven rock/pop with an Irish sensibility with influences from Elton John, Billy Joel, Tori Amos and Irish folk. 

Justin Vanegas is an accomplished guitarist who met Sin on the East Bay circuit. He has toured with successful bands and has a degree in music from Humboldt county.Michael Carrera, who has played with the Blue Devils drum core and many other bands found Silver Avenue by way of a mutual friend.

Finally: What's in a name?
Sin is short for Sinead and Silver Avenue is an exit on the way to SFO. Sinead was travelling to Ireland and Silver Avenue 'spoke' to her. She claims the name picked her.
